Anika Abarquez

Hi! I have been in the dance program for 3 years, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to dance with so many talented girls. I am also on our school’s Varsity Song Team. In college, I am planning on majoring in Kinesiology for physical therapy. I have loved dancing with all of these girls, and I am going to miss them so much.

Alyhanna Anonuevo

Hi everybody, thank you so much for coming to watch this year’s spring dance show! I’m Alyhanna and I’ve been dancing for thirteen years now and I’ve been participating in the dance program for three. I also have been on the DVHS Varsity song team for my first (and last) time as a senior this year. After high school I plan to pursue business in college and continue my passion for dancing. A big thank you to Mrs. Altman for maintaining one of the biggest support systems I’ve ever had throughout my high school career. This program has introduced me to life-long friendships and pushed me to be the best out of my comfort zone. To the most talented dancers I know, I appreciate you so much and being able to share the same passion and performing on the same stage is an experience and blessing I’ll never forget <3. Thank you again for supporting and enjoy the show!

Ankita Bodas

Hi everyone! I’ve been a part of the DVHS dance program for 3 years, and it has truly been the highlight of my high school career. I’ve made so many meaningful friendships and learned a variety of new dance styles through this program. I plan to study business in college and continue pursuing my love for dance on the side. I want to thank my family for always supporting me and my friends for cheering the loudest for me at these shows. Also, shoutout to Mrs. Altman for her unconditional love and support! I hope you enjoy watching the show as much as we love performing it!

Kaylee Chen

Hi everyone! This is my first, and sadly last year in the DVHS dance program but I’ve enjoyed every second of it! I started dancing when I was 5 and loved the creative outlet it has provided since. Thank you to Ms. Altman for allowing me to be a part of this amazing program! Enjoy the show :))

Elyssa Duong

Hey guys! Thanks for coming to the dance show and supporting me and these amazing dancers. I’m Ellysa. I have been dancing for about 8 years and have been a part of Dougherty Valley’s Song Team for 3. I have also been a part of this program for 3 years and have had such a blast. From dancing in the rain in my first year to having my own solo in my last, I wouldn’t have wished for anything different. I want to thank Ms. Altman for creating such a welcoming program where I have built most of my strongest friendships. Now as I move onto college, I hope to find a community just like this. And to my dance 4 babies, I love all of you guys!! Peace out brothasss!!

Kaitlyn Kitagawa

Hi, this is only my second year in the dance program at Dougherty, but I’ve been dancing since I was 5. I’ve always loved dance, but being in the program here at Dougherty made me appreciate it even more. I’m grateful for all the experiences and people that I have met during these last two years in dance. I have also been on cheer for 4 years and after graduation, I plan to study health sciences at Chapman. I want to say thank you to Mrs. Altman, my family, and friends for supporting me and coming to the show. I hope you enjoy the show!!!

Hi! My name is Nisha and I have been learning Indian classical dance since 1st grade. This is my first year performing in the DVHS dance program and I’ve truly enjoyed it. I loved the opportunity to learn and perform new styles and dance and how everyone had something new to teach me.
